This exquisite, impressive loving cup was presented to the Dean of the University of Pennsylvania Medical Department, Dr. John Marshall, by the faculty for ten years of faithful service and has the names of the faculty inscribed under the base. The applied grape decorations are nicely detailed as are the grape vine handles. The interior is gilt and the reeded edge scalloped rim add a nice touch.
