American sterling silver Repousse and floral engraved ice cream set made for Bailey banks and Biddle of Philadelphia, c.1880.
This exquisite set consists of 12 ice cream spoons with scalloped edge and engraved bowls and a matching, large ice cream server.
Each of the Repousse ice cream spoons is 6 1/8" long, the ice cream server is 10 3/4" long, with the set weighing a total of 406 grams or 13 ozs. Troy.
The backs of the bowls of the spoons and the blade of the server have ornate, period script monograms: TP.
Monogrammed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
