American sterling silver napkin ring by Wood & Hughes c. 1890. This very handsome, large and heavy napkin ring has embossed palmettes and applied beading on its borders. The body is engraved with geometrical designs and monogrammed in ornate, period script CFE. Dimensions: 2" - 2", weight 82 grams or 2.6 ozs Troy. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. Monogrammed as described above, the soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
