American coin silver open salts by Schulz and Fischer of San Francisco California, c.1875. These attractive salts have decorative die-rolled borders and flared bases. The interiors are gilt. We have added two complementary Gorham sterling silver salt spoons. Each bowl is 2 1/2" in diameter, 1 1/2" tall and the pair weighs 106 grams or 3.4 ozs. Troy. Each dish hasa a period monogram JRW on the side of the body and the Schulz and Fischer Great Seal of California mark is under each base, as well as their COIN. and S.F. CAL. marks. Monogrammed as described above, the soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
