American sterling silver sugar tongs in the American Beauty pattern by George W. Shiebler, Patent June 29, 1897 and retailed by Hennegan and Bates of Baltimore, Maryland.
These beautiful and scarce tongs are 4 3/8" long and weigh 29 grams.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
