This charming figural American coin silver trumpet bud vase features a cherubic boy, holding a giant trumpet. Expertly crafted by Gorham Silversmiths of Providence Rhode Island, c. 1865, it would be the perfect complement to any floral arrangement of diminutive blooms.
The detail is exquisitely executed. It is enhanced by an exceptional border around it′s well formed pedestal base and stands 6 5/8" tall with a 2 1/2" diameter. It weighs a hefty 186 grams or 6 troy ounces and is monogrammed EMCW. It′s size and shape lend itself well to smaller floral arrangements like tea roses, tulips, or button dahlias.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
