American Colonial bird back tablespoon by John David of Philadelphia, c. 1765 - 1775, having a block letter monogram on the front of the handle IBH and a script family name inscription on the back of the handle: Shuff. Weighing 51 grams or 1.6 ozs. Troy, this desirable 18th Century American spoon is 8 3/4" long. Monogrammed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
