American coin silver creamer and sugar bowl in the Medallion pattern by Albert Coles, c.1850. This handsome set is: sugar bowl is 4 3/8" tall, 4 3/4" across the handles, creamer is 4 1/8" tall, 4 1/8" across the handle and the spout, total silver weight is 346 grams or 11.1 ozs Troy. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, monogrammed SRJ in an ornate period script, no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
