American coin silver Christening cup with floral chased decorations, c.1860. Unmarked, but guaranteed to be as represented. This beautiful cup is 3 3/8" tall, 4 1/4" across the handle and weighs 107 grams or 3.4 ozs Troy, it is inscribed Burrie in a period script. Excellent original estate condition save for some minor dents around the lip, consistent with age and usage, no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
