This elegant coffee pot epitomizes the Napoleonic era: its maned horse head form spout has palm frond & leaf motif collar, matching the feet masks, wooden handle is accented with rosette sockets, hinged lid features attached foliate rosette with pomegranate finial. Elongated bellied body sits on three lion′s paw feet. Lid and upper part of the body have matching applied borders in the leaf, egg and dart pattern, adding to the appeal of this marvelous pot. There is also a beaded rim just under the top edge. On the front of the body, there is an engraved crowned crest, featuring a heart in a starred field on the one half.
