Danish 830 standard silver Arts and Crafts style hand made, hand hammered large tea caddy, assay marked for Copenhagen, 1919, with the DA Hammer mark for Dansk Arbejoe or The National Association of Danish Enterprise, or, literally, Danish Work.
The caddy also has slightly later Swedish marks for Helsingborg (Halsingborg), Sweden, 1928, GB, likely for the retailer, Gustav Bengs, engraver and Goldsmith.
The circular pedestal base has a Blossom Repousse collar and the push on lid has an applied beaded rim.
This striking tea caddy is 5 3/4" tall, 3 3/4" in diameter and weighs 233 grams or 7.5 ozs. Troy.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
