Dutch 833 Silver Large Tobacco Box Date marked for 1816, maker′s mark WV under a symbol. This interesting box has a chased lilear allover design. The hinge and edges are in good order and the box closes properly. The box is 4 1/2" - 2 3/4", 1 1/2" deep and weighs 167 grams or 5.4 ozs. Troy. The excellent original condition, with no removals, repairs or alterations makes this an especially attractive offering. Monogrammed in pinprick script, J. J.-G. 1817, the original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
