American Federal coin silver sugar tongs, decorated with engraved patterns, no monograms. Made by Nathaniel Butler, Savannah, GA and Utica, NY c. 1790-1805.

These important tongs are 6 1/4" long and weigh 38.2 grams or 1.23 ozs Troy.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
