French sterling silver pair of footed salt & pepper shakers, decorated with applied ram's heads, floral garlands and oval plaques around the body. There are also beaded and embossed rims on foot and cap as well as figural berry finial on the top. c. 1900.
These marvelous ornate shakers are 1 1/4" in diameter, 4 3/8" tall (including the finial) and weigh a total 117.4 grams or 3.78 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
