Vintage English silver plated round covered serving bowl, having two handles and divider. The cover and divider have ball finials. Marked S273. Alpha Plate trade mark. Made by Harrison Brothers & Howson, Sheffield, c. 1920. Retailed by Fairfax & Roberts, Sydney & London.
This great bowl is 7 5/8" in diameter, 9" from handle to handle, 1 3/4" tall without the cover and 4" tall with cover, including the finial.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
