English Georgian large footed sterling silver mug, having figural scroll handle with a leaf decoration on the top. Under the base, there are two engraved monograms: "G" over "D*H" and "G" over "W*M" as well as set of very well struck hallmarks. Made by William Shaw II & William Priest, London, 1757.
This magnificent mug is 3 1/8" in top diameter, 3 1/2" in base diameter, 5" from edge to handle, 5" tall and weighs 360 grams or 11.61 ozs Troy.
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
