Portuguese Silver Matte Finish Salt Pepper Shakers Set Gilt Interior 1950

Portuguese silver pair of salt and pepper shakers with detachable pierced caps, having beautiful matte finish and gilt interior. Shakers have engraved inscriptions on the each side - "Sal" for salt and "Pimenta" for pepper. Oporto, c. 1940-1960.

These amazing shakers are 1" in top diameter, 1 1/2" in bottom diameter, 3 1/8" tall and weigh a total 78.2 grams or 2.52 ozs Troy.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
