Antique French 950 sterling silver sugar shaker, decorated with Baroque shell, scroll and floral patterns and having ornate cut glass body. Pierced top is detachable and has gilt interior. Made by Pierre Gavard, Paris, c. 1890.
This gorgeous shaker is 3 1/2" in diameter at the widest, 2 7/8" in bottom diameter and 7" tall (including the cap).
The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
