English Fluted Hot Water Jug Wooden Handle Sissons Sterling Silver 1902

Antique English sterling silver footed hot water jug with hinged lid. Body and lid are fluted, top border is decorated with applied gadroon rim. Jug has carved wooden handle and matching finial on the lid. Made by Walter & Charles Sissons, London, 1902.

This fabulous jug is 4 1/4" in top diameter, 5 1/2" in diameter at the widest, 3 7/8" in base diameter, 8" from spout to handle and 6 1/2" tall.

The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.

The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
