English sterling silver candy box in a shape of a toffee can, made by William Comyns of London in 1908, it is a wonderful example of English whimsy. This unusual round box would also make a nice tea caddy or a really upscale paint can. On the front of the body, there is an engraved curly script monogram "GHG". Both body and lid are hallmarked. Retailer's mark "J. Comber. Goldsmith. Woking".
