Rope Border Star Cut Napkin Ring Coin Silver 1860

American coin silver napkin ring having applied twisted rope borders on a body with hexagonal hatch work with a cut work six pointed star in each hexagon, c.1860. The stylized, scroll and floral bordered cartouche contains the period monogram M.F.R. This especially attractive and unusual napkin ring is 1 3/4" in diameter, 1 1/4" wide and weighs 23 grams. Monogrammed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
