Jensen Dresser Box 529 Art Deco 1930 Sterling Silver

Danish sterling silver dresser box by Goerg Jensen of Copenhagen, Denmark, c.1930. This exquisite box has a wood liner with a wonderful finish and a hinged lid with a recessed diamond shaped recess with a beaded border and a pomegranate finial. The border matches the base border and the lid opens and closes properly. Both the lid and the base have a full set of Jensen marks used from 1925 - 1932 and the hammered finish is in excellent condition. Weighing a substantial 518 grams or 16.7 ozs. Troy, this handsome box is 7 3/4" long, 4 1/8" wide and 2" tall. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
