American sterling silver Madeira bottle label, ticket or tag by Gorham Silversmiths, c.1940. This ornate tag has a chain 7" long and weighs 11 grams. it is 3" long and 2 1/8" tall. The soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
