Danish 830 Silver Wine Pitcher by the Master Silversmith, Anton Michelsen, date marked 1898. This exquisite, hinged, lidded antique solid silver pitcher has applied grapes and grapevines on the bulbous body and four collared bands on the bottom and top of the straight, cylindrical neck. The C shaped handle and the hinged lid are in excellent condition. Both the underside of the base and the lid have a full set of marks, wiuth the underside of the base having the expanded marks. This useful and very attractive wine pitcher is 7 3/8" tall, 5" in diameter, 5 1/2" across the handle and weighs a substantial 550 grams or 17.7 ozs. Troy. The excellent original condition and clear, crisp detail, with no monograms, removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering. The soft, warm, original antique finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing.
