English sterling silver 18th Century meat skewer by Thomas Northcote, with a full set of London Hallmarks for 1786. This elegant and useful George III skewer has a nicely done Lion′s Head erased Crest over the inscribed family name: Morris and is 11 1/4" long, weighing 92 grams or 3 ozs. Troy. Crested and inscribed as described above, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. The excellent original condition and clear detail, with no removals, repairs or alterations, make this an especially attractive offering.
