Russian 84 standard silver teapot likely made by by Nikolay Vasilievich Kniazko and assayed by Ivan Vonif. Yevstigneev, Saint Petersburg 1886. This beautiful bulbous teapot has an intricate Royal crest featuring running hounds flanked by wolves surmounted with an ornate crown. The ivory and silver finial is nicely complemented by the C shaped handle with its ivory insulators. This interesting teapot measures 5 1/4" tall, 7 1/2" across the handle to spout and weighs substantial 471 grams or 15.1 ozs Troy. American coin silver child′s cup or mug in an ornate design by Gale Wood and Hughes of New York City. c.1841. This delightful cup has an engraved band of wide decorations along the base in the Oriental style, similar to Polhemus′ oriental pattern, introduces almost 20 years after the cup was made. The rim has as applied beaded border and the body has a large floral, scroll and foliate cartouche containing the inscription: Theodore A. Wright Jany. 2nd 1841. American coin silver beaker with applied grape and vine wreaths, c.1852 by Baldwin and Co, Newark, New Jersey. This handsome beaker measures 3 1/4" tall, 3" in diameter and weighs 101 grams or 3.2 ozs Troy. Inscribed Marika Henrietta Calron from her Uncle FHC December 25th 1852, the soft, warm, original finish is present, with no buffing or machine polishing. Japanese 950 sterling silver figural boat salt and pepper shakers, c.1930. They come in their original bamboo wood box. English sterling silver gilt surprise egg by Stuart Devlin, 1968. The attractive textured cover opens to reveal three sprung enameled flowers. English sterling silver open salts pair by Robert Hennell II, each having a full set of London Hallmarks for 1833. Reminiscent of salts made 100 years earlier by Paul de Lamerie, each of these magnificent salts has a body with applied Acanthus leaves having chased and engraved shell and scroll decorations in between. These ornate bodies sit on conforming acanthus leaf circular base and have scalloped edge Gadroon rims. Each is graced with a well executed Crown Lion surmounted crest, as pictured. Certainly no one can fault Hennell for getting inspiration for his design for these salts from Paul de Lamerie regarded by the Victoria and Albert Museum as the greatest Silversmith of all time. Each of these special salts is 2 1/4" tall, 3 3/4" in diameter and the pair weigh a substantial 419 grams or 13.5 ozs. Troy. This extraordinary cup has applied beaded borders on the rim and base and a tapered, bellied body with floral ans scroll Repousse decorations surrounding the inscription: Georgiana Reed Wendel from George Chambers Reed New York, Jan 1st, 1851. This wonderful cup, with its New Year′s Day 1851 inscription, is 4" tall, 3 1/4" in diameter, 4 1/2" across the double C shaped handle and weighs 126 grams or 4.1 ozs. Troy. American coin silver child′s cup or mug with a wide band of Repousse Raspberry Vine decorations on a stippled background by Robert and William Wilson of Philadelphia, c.1830 - 1840. having an ornate, period monogram: EL. The top rim has an applied foliate band and the circular spread foot has die rolled foliate and dart decorations. The double C scroll handle has an Acanthus leaf thumbpiece. American Arts and Crafts Hammered porringer by Dominick and Haff, date marked 1882 and inscribed: Charlotte K. Bigelow from Charlotte E. Stevens Dec 25 1885. This spectacular porringer has an allover honeycomb peened surface with a conforming key work handle. Weighing a substantial 240 grams or 7.7 ozs. English George II sterling silver Rococo soup ladle by John Spackman II, having a full set of London Hallmarks for 1738. This elegant and truly rare ladle has an ornate cast handle with a steer crown crest (wear to the crest) on a Rococo floral, shell and scroll handle. American sterling silver compotes by Gorham Silversmiths in a pattern that very much resembles Chantilly, c.1895 and retailed by Spaulding and Company of Chicago. Spaulding originated in Chicago in 1855 and was purchased by Gorham in 1920. These compotes likely pre-date 1920. Each of of these ornate compotes has a Repousse scroll, floral and foliate border on the rim of the plate and base. Weighing a total of 764 grams or 24.6 ozs. Italian 800 silver square large dresser or serving tray with an applied shell and Gadroon border by the Calderoni Shop of Milan Italy, c.1960. This elegant, ornate footed serving dish is 9 3/4" in diameter, 4" tall and weighs a substantial 614 grams or 19.7 ozs. Troy. Just under the floral Repousse decorations, one corner is has a discreet, ornate period monogram: BW. Realizing that ornate and discreet are seldom seen in the same sentence, it only fair to point out that the monogram is not in the usual place, prominently placed in the center of the dish. American coin silver fish serving set in the Jenny Lind pattern by William Gale and Son of New York City, c.1850. This spectacular set has a serving knife blade with fancy scroll engraving surrounding a pheasant and a serving fork with engraved tines and an open work bowl. The pattern name Jenny Lind was originated by Albert Coles and copied and slightly modified from Gales′ pattern, which was introduced before the British actress came to America, creating the sensation that followed her arrival. It is likely that the original Gale pattern was not called Jenny Lind. The knife is a3 1/4" long and weighs 203 grams. The fork is 10 1/8" long and weighs 148 grams. Their combined weight is 351 grams or 11.3 ozs. Troy. Each has a pan ornate, period script monogram: ASB. American copper and sterling silver hand made and hammered cigar lamp by Gorham Silversmiths, date marked for 1883. This nicely detailed dragon handle lamp has an applied sterling silver juggler and a Batfish on the body. All the parts are present, including the filler cap, snuffer and original chain. Having a very nice original patina, this stunning cigar lamp is 3" in diameter, 4" handle to spout and 2 1/2" tall. It weighs 175 grams or 5.6 ozs. Troy. American sterling silver Art Moderne or Arts and Crafts serving or chop set, hand made and hammered for Zacho′s of Los Angeles, in a pattern remarkably similar to Allan Adler′s Sunset and likely made by Adler, c.1950. It is also possible that Zacho imported his silver from his native Denmark, where he obtained his furniture and ceramics. He was a distributor and business partner with Carl Hansen and Son. Zacho′s store was located at 3157 Wilshire Blvd near Bullocks. Axel Zacho was the owner and was born in Denmark in 1899, died in Los Angeles in 1955, with the store closing in 1962. There is no record of Zacho producing any silver. The attractive and useful spoon has a wonderful hammered finish, more pronounced on the back, and is 10 1/4" long, weighing 83 grams or 2.7 ozs.
